Looks like spalted beech.

Hi Brian. It is spalted Beech with walnut and walnut drawer pulls. Much larger than the other boxes as it was the first one to have a hole cut completly through the box, so that was the first job before cutting off the back. I wasn't sure how much space there would be for the drawers and that's why I made it larger. The two drawers would take several watches, whereas the smaller boxes would be limited with some men's watches being 'chunkier'.

The two musical note boxes were a little more tricky, but I was pleased with the results. The second of those has a hidden drawer when completly pulled out.
