Any one know what the quality of MODERN machinery is?

Hi John I presume you mean the brand name modern. From the pieces I have seen It looks well made and solidly built. Not in the same league as wadkin but on a par with multico and startrite ie solid machines for the small workshop. What have you seen Planer Thicknesser?

yes a nice 'small' 14" planer Thicknesser.

Do they still have that planer thicknesser you where on about at Carrs?
