Well I had half a sheet of 1/2" ply given me so I decided to free up some wall space and make a clamp stand, I really didn't think it would be so heavy loaded up and I think I should have got bigger castors. :)

LN you obviously take pride in your machinery as well as your work, are they MDF kickplates at the bottom of your Table saw?

Nice clamp rack as well.

Mark.

That's inspired me to make my own.

What are those bits of wood around the base of the tablesaw for? They for restricting the air intake around the case for extraction?

I was thinking about this myself the other day and wondering whether it's worth it or not...

Cheers

Mark

Been an LN fan I can answer that question! He said somewhere else they are put there to stop dust escaping out the bottom of the machine into the workshop.

WOW! Clamp Valhalla! I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Makes my four look sad in comparison. That is a great idea for your clamps your Lordship. If I had more room....and more clamps I would pinch that idea. :D

I like it - I have considered something similar in the past, as I spend a lot of time carrying clamps to and fro between my assembly table and clamp storage area. Is it reasonably stable when you roll it around?

I have yet to get beyond the piece of 2X4 screwed to the wall - I did it the day I moved in to the workshop and it works so well I never get round to changing it;

Wow! a fan club

Yes it does stop dust from escaping, there is more than enough room for air via the gap between the bed and the casings plus the big gap where the height adjusting wheel is.

Sometimes I just browse your blog and feel wowed. I'll be opening up for new members to join soon.

Very impressive LN.

My only question is whether there is actually any advantage in having one's clamps on a mobile stand. Surely it just takes up valuable floor space.

I prefer to have my clamps above my bench. That way they are always within reach.

You should rig a radio-controlled engine to the undercarriage and race it around the workshop..... I would.

Looks great..
