Mixing finishes

Is it o'k to use Melamine laquer over Shellac sanding sealer?,
bought the laquer by mistake.

Not really, no. Sorry. You just might get away with it but I really wouldn't recommend it.

You need a Cellulose Sanding Sealer with melamine to get the best results.
