Hi all

I'm having some trouble setting up a mitre lock bit in my router table. Looking through previous post on the subject, it looks like the only way to set it up is by trial and error, for each given thickness of stock that you want to use it with.

While I was adjusting the settings, it dawned on me that both the horizontal and the vertical cuts have 2 variables:
1 - the height of the bit above the router table
2 - how far into the bit you move the stock

Since there are 2 variables for each, how do you know which one to adjust to creep up on a perfect fit?

Probably a "simple" answer, that's obvious when you see it :)

Thanks
Steve

If you go into the how to's section under router cutters the first one is an easy explanation of how to set up this cutter

Doh!

Thanks guys. I had actually been on the Wealden site looking for inspiration, but missed that guide

And I never thought to look in the how to section, I usually find the answer to any question somewhere in the previous posts.
Great, easy to follow guide by Charley, by the way.

Thanks again
Steve
