minature furniture

Hi all, my missus is into dolls houses and requested that I make her some furniture. I have made a four poster bed but she wants other stuff like drawers and chairs. All to be made from real wood. Does anyone know where I can get info regarding construction methods or plans.

There's a few books around if you look on Amazon about making miniature furniture. What period does she want you to make?

She has a house that is in the victorian theme.

I think Hobby's (or Hobbies? I forget which) used to do plans for dolls house furniture. No idea if they still do.

Plans for dolls houses are more common. There's plenty of kits for furniture about and as Victorian period is the most common there will be plenty for that. I don't think many companies do plans though.

That's a nice looking bed.
I find getting the proportions right is the hardest part in miniature furniture. You can't always just take the full size equivalents as dolls house rooms often arn't as big as house rooms.
