Does anyone know where I could get metal fittings where its in 2 halves (like a saw nut), with hex allen heads to tighten up, like you get on some flat pack furnitures?
Cheers Mr S
The ideal solutiuon I think would be the M6 screwfix cross head bolt's matched up with an adonized(??) steel version of the brass head M6 nut if it's possible to get them (screwfix dont seem to). I need the wide 15mm surface area and would prefer the extra strength of steel over brass. The carcass joiner's won't be sufficeintly strong, or wide enough on their flanges. I even had one or 2 snap when I have fitted K unit's before. Am I right in thinkung that the screfix nut insert has a hex socket for a part of the depth and is M6 threaded below that and has to be fitted into a pre drilled pilot hole? The only thing I dont like is that it looks as if it would be in place permanently.
Have a look at Isaac Lord the JCBA bolt has large flange hex socket head and comes in various electro plate finishes (can't annodize steel) and they do a matching JCN nut. Any of the JC*** stuff will work together.
