Which is your preffered pad saver and brand of abrasive discs for this sander?

Mirka Pad Saver Ø 150 mm 67 holes
Mirka ABRANET ACE sanding disks

I hear 3M produce even better sanding disks these days.

Exactly the same here but I'll try 3M Cubitron discs once my stash of Abranet is used up.

Look at Sia abrasives, as good as or better than Abranet and can be cheaper.

I've used 1000s of discs on boats and the ceramic Sia discs outperform everything else by miles in my experience

Metabo interface pad 150mm, net abrasive (abranet/cubitron) haven’t tried the Sianet
