HI All

I have a HC260C P/T and since thicknessing a load of pitch pine reclaimed flooring it has problems feeding any wood especially hardwoods through. I have checked the infeed knurled roller and the outfeed rubber roller and both seem to be functioning correctly. The thicknesser table doesn't seem to have anything visible on it, I cleaned the table with white spirit which seems to have helped slightly. The user manual does say that if the feed does not function correctly either you are tring to thickness too much in one pass or that the thicknesser table is
contaminated. Can anyone offer any advice? Does anyone know of the correct products for cleaning and polishing the feed table?

Thanking in anticipation

Mark

Try rubbing candle wax on both tables - this should help with the feed a bit, otherwise you maybe able to release some tension from the rollers so they dont force the wood down onto the tables too much, but I think the wax is one of the first things to try.

You may also need to retension the drive belt. Its in the instructions but basically undo the far side panel, slacken a couple of nuts, stretch the belt and retighten.

But definitely try making the beds more slippery first.

Cheers

Tim
