In the US there are safety data sheets for all sorts of things. Did you know that there isnt one for Oak or Pine or Teak or any other specific species?? They all use the same one. Basically it says all wood dust might kill you, might give you a reaction, might give you cancer etc.

Just been reading up on this. They (OSHA) do refer to our own HSE data (Sheet 30) on Toxic Woods but they seem to have reached the pragmatic decision that being too specific about individual species woud be unworkable - better to look at the problem of wood 'dust' in general.
