CYC - changing unit sounds good - I am a little put off by the safety issues too, but will check out this NW article Noely mentioned.

Good furniture does come at a price and I don't mind paying the price when I think its worth it. But for a childs cot which is only in use for a very small amount of time I don't think the £600 they where asking is justified! Not when you think that your better half and your new arrival will probably want to change it all in a few years time!

Purchase a nice cot and build something that will be with you and your new family a lot longer, you'll get a lot more pleasure from it.
