my latest project just complete is a guitar amp made from old growth douglas fir that came from an old door,
it sounds way better than I was expecting, it's similar to an original fender tweed amp, I used hide glue throughout, except instead of finger joints it's dovetailed then the corners rounded off.
I used solid copper for the back plate which houses the input and a DC input, it's a kit guitar amp from the jam jar amps in wales, their blueberry kit in this case, but obviously I made the cab as well, originally it was intended as a present for my brother but due to having a bad back I couldn't do it in time for his birthday, he's said I can keep it so that'a bonus.
good fun project that's kept me sane during this latest lockdown.
