Had my eye on this as I need to replace my recently sold P/T.

Made my decision and felt that £270 was about right for a 10 year old machine, - about half the proce of the new version.

Always end up wondering how much more I should've bid. But then you never know what the other person might go to and end up paying stupid money.

Lost by a fiver! Ah well, - anyone else looking to sell one or similar? :D

Awww, I think you really missed out on that one! But, when bidding you should always set a limit and refuse to go above that, because as you've said it can lead to stupid money. I was bidding on a bandsaw some time ago and set myself a limit. The limit was overtaken at the last minute, however I was watching it online and placed an extra fiver in, and hey presto! I won the item but at the cost of an extra fiver than what I was willing to pay originally, it could have possibly led to me bidding stupidly!

Keep an eye open for Multico planers - the 6" and 9" models pop up quite regularly on e-bay. The last one I watched (9" model) went for £78. They normally go for between £150 and £250.

Cheers

Karl
