Miles away - totally impractical...
Anyone here live near enough to South East London (Greenwich to be precise) and do turning for a living?

It just so happens that I know of a bespoke furniture company looking for a good turner to do the occasional piece of work for them.

I'm happy to pass on your details if this is of interest to you.

No offence, but even in the frozen wastes of Lancashire, we have access to next day couriers, email and telephones.....why has it got to be someone local to them?

Last 'sub contract' job I did was for an artist in London, and all the pieces had to go via Watford to be flocked then on to her on the South Bank..(the pieces I mean, not the flocking.....)

Chris.

I asked the same question and the explanation was they they supply the timber and collect the finished article using their own transport. I didn't question it any further but happy to if you're interested?
