Looking for a knob

I have to make some cabinets to match these kitchen units and need 17knobs. Have tried my usual sources, does anyone know a supplier. They are 70mm accross and have a dark silver/pewter painted finish.

I take it the customer doesn't know. They aren't ones I've seen before. I have had problems before like this but the client has taken on the repsonsibility to find them. In both instances they found that weren't made anymore but the shop had a few (enough) left.

Ebay may help?

Also there are companies that buy up kitchens that are being ripped out - they may keep old hardware too.

Have you tried Isaac Lord in High Wycombe - they have a good range of kitchen hardware.

Tim, customer does know, it was OK at first as I was doing the work away from the other units but she has now added a dresser in the main kitchen area. They may be specific to the kitchen maker as I know the likes of Mark Wilkinson have their own range of handles and its that type of kitchen. My ex Clive Christian designer does not know them either

Andy, thanks for Isaacs who I do use but they have a small range of handles, says he with a 3" thick Hettich handle catalogue in front of him :wink:

If you know the make of the original kitchen, why not try the kitchen manufacturer. I needed to match the handles in a Moores kitchen a couple of years ago, and they were happy (at a price!) to supply the required knobs.

They also priced for the extra cabinets and came in very high so the client went to me. Client also recalls that the handles were being discontinued at the time she had the kitchen done.

Chippy's mate in Norwich may be able to help. They have odd handles and made up a set for me for the office kitchen. I think they were a discontinued line.
