Hahahaha
In my defense, English is not my native language.
In your defence (English English, not American English) English is a right mish-mash.
I'm just reading the book 'Roman Britain and why we speak English'
It's a fascinating story, if you're that way inclined.

Thanks for the recommendation, Brian. I had a look at the synopsis and will add the book to my list.

It is funny, I learned American English back in Brazil so many years ago and now I live in England, my wife is Scottish and I work in a global engineering company (over 55k employees) where I spend my days virtually talking to people all over the world. I can't discern anymore all the different the "Englishes" I hear or speak over the course of one day. With all the problems that our current times have, I find fascinating how it is possible for us to connect and share knowledge, experiences and opinions (good or bad), and overcome languages barriers.
Thanks for correcting me earlier with humour. I love to learn.

I managed to do the rest of the roof work today just in time for the rain. I still have the trimmings and fascias to finish, but at least now if SWMBO kicks me out of bed I have a dry place to sleep.

This ugly office building is at least 2.8 m above natural ground level, but after around two years of complaining to the planning authority, they said they thought it was 'probably PD'.

Now that my roof is done I measured the height and I am exactly at 2.5m.
It was odd to measure as the highest point of the ground was at a corner of the building but the highest point of the building is at its apex.
Now, if my neighbour measures from his side, the building will look definitely higher to him as his land is on lower ground than mine.

It is 2.5m to eaves though, adjacent to a boundary rather than to apex.

The electrician has not come yet :)mad:) and I am avoiding bringing all the stuff from the shed inside the workshop to make his life easier.

However, I couldn't help myself and jumped into an opportunity (or a trap?):

It even matches the workshop outside color! :D

Now, I need to find a maintenance engineer in the Essex are to have a look at it.

I just want to give a shout out to @Steve Maskery great video on setting up the Kity P/T. Found it by chance and was happy to see that you are a member of this forum too.
Thank you for such a clear and informative video.

On no, now you will need to colour match your jointer with all your power tools.

Looks really smart. I will just suggest you keep a close eye one the windows and door.
My Mum has a shed like this and the windows are a bloody nightmare due to the amount the walls grow and shrink through the seasons. The outer cases of the windows began to peel away and let water in quite quickly despite being well painted.
As a sort of solution I have added a drip mould like a weather bar or the front half of a cill above each window, this helps shed the direct rain away from the problem area.

Thanks!

Hi @BCS1980UK looks like a cracking good workshop! Only point I'd make is in the photo you posted showing the outside painted green it looks to me as though a small portion of the over-site projects beyond the base of the timber structure - on the right and so you may get pooling of rainwater running off the side panel and this might cause damp issues.
Given that side is partly sheltered by the nearby fence panel only a small portion would be fully exposed and hence at risk, but if it was me I'd attach some felt or similar to deflect it over the side of the concrete base and cap that with some mastic just to be sure.
I does look like a nice workspace though!
