I'm at it again.

This time I'm offering my Lie-nielsen 103 Bronze block plane for sale. The reason I'm selling is that I find it a little small for my hands, and for that reason I hardly ever use it, on the other hand, my L-N 60 1/2 gets used virtually every time i'm in the workshop.

The plane is in very good condition, and I'd like £60 for it in it's original box and including postage (it's £80 at Axminster).

(is it just me that keeps all the boxes for my planes??)

Cheers

The only plane I ever bought new was a Stanley No.4 back in 1973. I've still got the box.
I've now got a LV LAJ in the post. I suppose I'll hang on to that box too  .

Cheers, Vann.

Worth keeping all the boxes and paperwork for any quality tool I reckon - Rob

I buess I'm just tedious - I generally get rid of boxes and packaging as soon as I can - I've accumulated far too much general 'stuff' over 6 decades without adding paper and cardboard to it.
Having said that, I have to admit that I do sometimes find it difficult. ON the 2 extremes, I like the unilitarian look of L-N boxes and have found a use for several aroudn the shop, and I actually took quite a long time to dispose of the classy blue box my Clifton No 7 came in - but eventually overcame my reluctance.
It does seem a shame, but then I buy the tools to use and don't consider myself a collector of any sort.
At one time I used to keep all packaging until the guarantee ran out - but clearing out the accumulated long-forgotten rubbish from the loft cured me of that one! BEsides, LN have a lifetime guarantee!

Yep I bin all that stuff. I'm not a collector, my tools are for use and abuse (more the latter with me). I've got enough junk as it is. All the big plastic moulded power tool cases get binned.
