I am a leatherworker based in Shropshire and I am looking for a wood turner to make a batch of turned wood legs for my leather-topped three legged stools - apparently I don't have anyone local to me that has a lathe big enough to deal with the length.

I need 6 x sets of three 24" long x 1 1/4" diameter legs drilled to take a 1/4" bolt at 12". These can be made from just about any kind of wood (I have been using ash hoe handles up until now) so this could be a good time to clear out some of your old stock.

The legs don't need to be very ornate, it is entirely up to the maker how they are turned but I would like a nice looking stain/finish on them to make them water and stain resistant.

Please drop me an email if you can do this and give me a price per set and a price for six sets. If you need any more information check out my website for contact details and give me a call.

Many thanks, Ray

Many thanks, Pete. I have used the Association of Woodturners website before but didn't get much luck this time around. The truth is, this job is very simple and probably 'beneath' most of the woodturners on this site but I thought I would ask anyway. You never know, someone might want it!

Thanks again for your kind suggestion. Ray.
