Ki I am first time user of the forum

I need to up grade my lathe and have about £600 to spend would like 14" over the bed. has anyone got or used Charnwood W870?

or is there something better for the money

I assume you watch on evilbay? You can pick up some cracking gear for £600. A Jet 1442 has just gone for less than that, a nice clean Jubilee went for £165 iirc last week. Depends where they are, of course. Are you upgrading for quality or just size?
