I am looking for a second hand lathe that has a universal/common thread, it has to be a non aluminium body/construction.
I don.t have the biggest of budgets but there is one

Are you a member of the AWGB ( Association of woodturners of GB )
They have a section for selling and quite often you will see nice cast iron used lathes for sale , Currently a Coronet CL3 on sale

Thanks Blister, I have had a look and it's way past my pay grade.

I am now committed to the axminster MC-1018 that the bid was accepted for on ebay.
