Gentlemen,
If I have in anyway distracted you from the serious business of analysing the P&C's (Pro's and Cons) of FAB vs STS sharpening I most humbly apologise. I was labouring under the assumption that those following the thread would also have read the article from whence the labour saving (or in this case labour creating) TLA (Three Letter Acronym) originated.
Perhaps PCE (Perpendicular to the Cutting Edge) or maybe RWR (Right Way Round) would be more appropriate collective TLA's for grouping those methods where the blade is presented to the stone in orientation that would fall outside the proposed STS technique.
Either way, it's PMB (past my bedtime) so whether you're a fan of STS, BAF, FTB, JB, PCE, RWR or simply keen on the word Fro (is that where Froes get their name from by the way?) I'm off to BED and will return in the AM after my BAE (bacon and eggs).
