Old news to some perhaps but I hadn't realised that the Land Registry had more than doubled their fees to download Title Deeds and Title Plans. From £3 to £7 each.

Now if only their service could have improved by over 100%. Definitely welcome to Rip Off Britain.

That must be quite new - I downloaded a large number of deeds surrounding a property towards the end of October last year and it was still only £3 each.

Someone charged me £50 to hit a couple keys on a computer. Car insurance. Probably don’t need to add anything else.

We're in the process of selling a rental property. The property management company, who are the pits, demanded £450 to fill out a questionnaire.
£7 to download deeds seems reasonable by comparison.

Having completed a house build recently, what I have learned is that no Government department is fit for purpose, local or National. The cost and response times have escalated massively. Land Registry is no exception. I put it down to "working from home".
