I am designing a counter and need to price up the materials. Can anyone tell me where to get MDF laminated in red and blue and white from, also anyone know how much it would cost per sheet? I have had a look at Edens but it is very confusing for this on their site? :?

Are you looking for mfmdf (melamine faced MDF)? If you are you could probably use something from the Egger Zoom range. Look at the Egger website for local stiockists. Every time I want something from that range I end up having to buy a pack.
Alternatively try IDS (International Decorative Supplies) and laminate yourself with contact adhesive.
Hopefully that helps, Simon

Thanks for the heads up Simon. I really didn't want to laminate it myself if I could help it as most of it will be built on site. I will give the Zoom range a look, maybe my local timber merchant may be able to order a couple or three sheets for me. It will need to be mfmdf as it is for a counter in a Chinese takeaway. (Lucky Chinese red obviously)

Edens supply the laminates and can also bond them to a core of your choice which may be better than buying packs of board.

I think you will be fine with MFMDF for the carcase but i dont think it will be hard wearing enough for the counter top. I would use a laminate for the top. Jackson building centres will be able to order you in a small number of sheets either from International Decorative Surfaces or James Lathams.

As you are using such a small quantity I would seriously reconsider laminating it yourself. You will have more control over the base material and get a much harder wearing surface for a comparable cost.
