I've been refurbishing a Kity bestcombi 2000, and the version I have only has a saw fence which doubles as a fence for the planer. I have seen pics of a planer fence which bolts onto the saw bed, I guess this must have been an add on accessory, does anyone have any experience of these, or even one that is spare/available?

Welcome aboard
It’s surprising what appears on ebay
Plus have a look or put a wanted add on
Homeworkshop.org
Can’t check the correct name as stuck on a gurney with only a phone.
Are there any kitty forums. ? They sold a lot of kit in the UK.
Or check out leboncoin.FR.
It’s a bit difficult to use but there’s always stuff on there
Good luck

Theres a pic here on ebay showing them bolted on.

Looks like identical rails. One bolts to the machine, the fence itself which doubles for saw and planer bolts to that. Probably using a T track slot bolt to bolt to the machine and also to bolt to each other.

Thanks... The Jointer fence is different, it was an add on extra, it bolts onto M8 holes on the bed of the saw table, and can be adjusted Item 8 below.

I've actually made one from Wood, which is a big improvement on the saw fence, but still would be good to get my hands on one of the metal ones.

HI I need some info regarding the bracket that holds the planer guard, mine appears to be bent but it functions reasonably OK but where it seems to be bent logic says it would not bend there being not the weakest point however it also seems unlikely that it would be made like that ???
Attached a few photos and I'm hoping someone will look at their machine and confirm whether it is correct or made like this ? Thanks in advance John

Looks like there is a weld between the bracket and the rod, and the bracket is bent compared to mine, as of it's been modded in the past. I'll try abd find some time for some pics for you in the next couple of days,

Thanks for the pics of the fence, disappointingly small, i'll maybe not bother with that.. I'll also post pics of my DIY one...

Hi thanks for the reply and if you can take some pics that will be very helpful, I figured it must be bent [was like than when I bought it S/H] but to me I would have expected the spindle to bend rather than the L bracket which is quite substantial .
Re the fence, the length if the guide plate could be whatever you want, I would make a longer one. It was the fitting design I was more interested in and will at some point make one. Cannot quite make it out but it seems to have a dovetail slide on the bolted down piece to allow adjustment over the cutter.
Regards John
