Good day !

Are there any Kity 613 Band Saw Owners out there? I lost my user manual, was able to obtain a soft copy of jpg files but as pictures the content is not searchable and have browsed through information and unable to ascertain measurements about the blade.

What is the size of the band that you purchase for the Kity? I have heard that is is 90 1/2 inches and would be helpful to have confirmation.

Where do you buy your band saw blades? Name and contact would be helpful as they might have a better understanding of various tolerances or measurements associated with the Kity.

For instance, I have found a local distributer that can make a band saw blade to any size you are looking for. (90.5 inches, --- 93 inches). They can only manufacture the blade to a certain width and want to make sure that this width is within tolerence of the Kity.

For a 1 inch Blade, the width cannot be any thinner than .035 inches.
For a 3/4 and 3/8 blade the width cannot be any thinner than .025 inches.

Would appreciate feedback, information that you can provide.

Thanks very much

'fraid I sold my Kity a few years back, but 90.5 inches does sound familiar. Someone who knows will surely be along shortly. The "forum-recommended" suppliers seem to be Dure Edge and Dragon saws, but I've had good results with Haakanson blades (available from Tilgear and some others).
Didn't have much luck with locally made up ones. My then local blade welder wasn't very good with smaller blades, and welds failed relatively early.
Again from memory, are you sure the Kity will take a 1" blade? I thought it was limited to 3/4".

When I needed replacement blades for my Kity 613, I just rang DureEdge who asked me which saw I had and then told me they knew just what I needed: and they were right! Unfortunately, this means I can't offer much more help other than to say if nobody else can help, I'll take a tape measure to my current spare blade and let you know its measurement.

The Kity 613 does take 90 1/2" blades and I wouldn't use blades any wider than 5/8". Depending on how good the tension spring is then most Kity's will take a 3/4" blade but some struggle to tension the 3/4" blades sufficiently for accurate cutting.

.035 is standard thickness for 1" blades
.032 for 3/4" & 5/8" and .025 for 1/2", 3/8" & 1/4".
Blade thickness shouldn't be a problem on the Kity and most blades are standard thickness unles you are looking for a thin kerf blade or a heavy duty one which will be different.
If you want to try a wider blade, then there are some 1" x .025 blades available that will tension fine on the Kity but choice of tooth pitch is limited.

I wouldn't worry too much about the blade thickness - just match the blade width and tooth pitch to the type of cutting that you are doing and you will be fine :D

kity 613 the correct blade lenth is 90 1/2 ins have you tryed the blades from tuf saws, they are the best i have used

I use smoothcut (90 1/2") blades with my Kity 613 from Axminster. The 3/4" blade works great on my machine (4tpi skip) for resawing. Never tried 1".
