As requested by a couple of people at work,

a priest ( his design - not mine ! - i think he must sea fish, as it is big ! )

and hopfully this time i have it right for the crochet hook, otherwise i''ll have to give up on this task - i keep on breaking the points - or getting the wrong shape - this one was to a sketch.

Priest is Oak, - Hook is im not sure, but has a very nice streak of reddish brown

Crochet hooks are so varied in size and shape that they need to be done for specific jobs etc. My brother in law turns specialist tools like this and one that he does is nearly a foot long for crocheting with string or rope or something. He also does huge knitting needles abourt an inch in dia. and 18" long. Mass produces the things in about 15 minutes each.
