Hi all, I've finally gone for it and ordered a Hegner Multicut 2vs, this will be my first scroll saw and I'm looking forward to having a go on it.
Any advice on essential things i will need to get me started would be greatly appreciated :D

You will absolutely love it I can tell you. For quite sometime after I had bought my Hegner I could not walk past it in the workshop without having a little go on it and even 15 years latter I still have a good feeling when I use it.
First thing I would recommend you to do is make a sub table with a small hole for the blade and a slot to match the one on the metal table. Also bolt the saw on to a decent bench or cabinet.

Here is an image of my home-made cabinets and sub table

Super work area you have there Scrimper
What type of lamp is that over your beloved Hegner ?

Hi Don. Congratulations on your saw, you will never regret buying it. It should come with the quick release clamp and a selection of blades, which will be good ones. Ideally you will want a foot switch, it makes things a lot easier. You will also need a lamp. The favourite is the magnifying lamp from Maplins. Finally you will need some wood. If you have any problems at all from istallation to using it then do not hesitate to ask questions. There are many Hegner owners on here only to willing to give you the benefit of their experience. Well done.
