You have certainly got that Danish Oil finish up to a high gloss Thomas, is it as applied today, or has it had time to dry/harden before buffing?

Hi Chas more than one coat left to dry buffed on a wheel,
first time I have tried oil have always used woodwax22.

Both very nice pieces :D
With that standard of work,I hope you get "forced" in there more often

Nice pieces of work there. One question though, about the Danish oil. Is it food safe for the honey dipper? I heard somewhere that we should be wary of a lot of the oils except, ironically, paraffin oil if the object is in contact with food.

It's OK as long as someone does not confuse Liquid paraffin BP with Kerosene

On the subject od the Honey Drizzler - the ones I make and sell have deeper fins and are a sort of 'rugby ball' shape at the business end. There's a good vid' on Utube of someone making one. Personally I'd never use Danish for food use - though I don't think it's toxic or anything - just too smelly. I currently use Grapeseed Oil or any food oil really will do.

Chris.

Thanks for your comments, the Honey Dipper is finished in Walnut oil.
sorry if you misread it, it must be the way I typed it in!!
