I have made two clocks today and to be honest the only turning involved is the hole one from an of-cut of the Cherry from the other day 9" tall and the other from a slice of Elm burr 14" x 7 1/2" I hope this is OK

Not into clocks,, usually find them boring and predictable but you have broken the mould with these, really like them.

Hi Woody, I think they are both beautiful. Where do you get bur elm from? Are there any elm trees left or is it an old piece of wood? Just wondering.
 
Yes but I thought all the elms had died of dutch elm disease so just wondering if there are any elm trees left or if its just pieces from long dead trees. I'd like to think there are still elm trees around.

Yes there are Peggy forgive my humor some of the Elm on eBay are still wet
 
That's ok Woody, it did sound a bit daft! I just googled elm and glad to see there are still a few trees left!
