but it'll have to wait until tommorrow evening to make it up to the workshop when I have some heavy labour lined up.

Been waiting 3 weeks and the anticipation has now reached its zenith, with it sat here but not able to switch on yet. Patience, patience.... :D

Cheers, Ed

Fantastic Ed. I know what it's like to have a shiny new toy in the workshop waiting to be commissioned

Forgive my ignorance, but what's the blue cable for?.

Wow! Looks great, Ed!

One tip, not that I did this. Make sure you undo the bolts holding the saw to the pallet. It's a bugger to remove it, otherwise........

Enjoy,
Philly :D

Its to make an extension to my 20amp supply so I can connect to a commando socket without calling the electrican out. Buying 50m was a bit over the top, but that was the only size at Screwfix!

Cheers, Ed

Very nice mate. If you get it set up quick you'll be able to carve the turkey on that beast. Nice log pile too!

Thats only one of my log piles! :D (I have a bit of a log thing going on)

Cheers, Ed

I ordered 4 blades from Ian a couple of weeks ago, so they're sat here ready to go... :D (not that I'm eager to get started or anything!)

Ed,

whatever you do, please, please promise that you will post some pictures of your new toy dangling from a rope 10 feet up in the air!!! Please....

Mike

PS It looks a beauty.......is it 16"?

Mike, I think your sadistic need to see those pics are both amusing and scary  :D

...........and perhaps a tad optimistic too!! Would you step away from your new toy dangling on the end of a rope to reach for the camera? .........Oh, I know ..........get one of the kids to take the picture. I knew there was a reason for having them!!

If you keep wrenching at the pallet eventually the bolts will rip themselves free from the softwood... apparently...

Its a 21" Mike.

It will be goin up the stairs as this seems the easiest option. I've checked it fits and I reckon with 3 of us it shouldn't be too bad.....

The pictures may not happen as I am one of the lifters!

Cheers, Ed

A very merry Christmas for you then, Ed!! :D

It looks like a monster - did you have any trouble getting it through the workshop doors?

Looks a beast Ed - nice choice!

Is the fence an alli one or have they upgraded them to steel box section?

Do you think three of you will be able to get that up the stairs? How heavy is it? My Basato 4 was about 120kg and I struggled to get that out into the workshop on level ground.

It seems you have a fair bit of pallet wood to make use of too which is a nice bonus ;)

And she's in!

It came up these stairs, having got round the corner at the bottom and is now in place.

I thought my willing helpers might have thought I was taking the p*ss if I stopped for photos during the lift, so sorry no action pics Mike G. It was heavy but comfortable with 3 of us, Neil the farmer and Martin the joiner provided the muscle and I tried to look like I was contributing!

Anyway, time for a leisurely assembly and commissioning over the Christmas period now.

Cheers, Ed
