Paul, as someone who has spent almost 2 months without getting near the lathe I know how you feel. They are a super lathe and they are made from the best of steel, so it wont warp or rust while you get youself in good health again. Although just to look at it will be the best medicne you will get.
May you have many happy hours together and everything you turn be as you wanted it to be. REgards Boysie

Congrats on the new lathe Paul :D :D and commiserations on the cruel fate that makes you feel like c**p.

On the plus side you have a lot of great hours to look forward to trying out your new baby.

Best wishes

He will surface when there is no wood left unturned in his
shed or stockpile...Good luck with your new lathe....

In that case we won't be seeing him for a year or two. I've seen his woodpile. Makes Yandles look like an amateur  #

I have to agree with everyone about that new beast of yours Paul! I always thought that the Aussies imported all their turned stuff? Duck or grouse John

My favorite remedy for the dreaded lurgy is 1/2 bottle of brandy twice dailey! It doesn't do anything to the lurgy, but you just don't care! Get well soon and show us what that lathe can produce under your guidance?

The Ozzies seem to produce quite a few good tool/machines. My WoodFast is Oz built. Plus you have the woodcut range and Kelton.

Hiya Paul ... not playing with that beast ???
Not exactly Alun.Managed to get down there today and started cleaning all the gunk off it,really sticky stuff. So that's all done now,and even managed to start it up.
Just got some alterations to do to the bench,i might need to take the rubber feet off the legs to lower it more, and it does seem to be bouncy on them anyway,so i'll see.
