Its arrived..at last

just to let you know the Nova lathe arrived here this morning. I struggled to get it towards my cabin and lift it in, hurting my back in the process, but hey the boxes are in there now.
Promised the wife a day in the garden today and now its all sorted out its back to lathe tommorow, had a phonecall from DougB who is coming over to help me build it and set it up (many thanks doug) i'll stand dinner for us.
So watch this space for pics.

Seriously, with one of those you can make almost anything you like up to a point. Be interesting to see which direction you go. We all seem to have our favourite things to make.

i love to make pens and indeed have just been asked to make several sets of pens and pencils as presents for BIL friends.
I really like to make the bowls and platters too, and i can see me continuing futher down this road as i want to experiment with piercing and pyrography too.
just need to build the bl@@dy thing first :lol:
