I was undecided about gloats. Still not really sure, but as Mike Wenzloff said; and I quote " 'Tis a pretty saw. "
'Tis int it? Even with my limited photographic skills. :D

I have never had a saw that fitted my hand so well. The rosewood is silky, comfortable, the saw is as light as a butterfly! It cuts like a dream and I am not sure, even after all this time, that my sawing skills are up to this little beauty!

Thank you Mike.

You are so right Paul... And Lord Nibbo, I am sure it's a gloat-worthy tool, but I don't usually gloat in the strict sense. Of course one of Mike's larger tenon saws, for cross-cutting would be a sensible addition.
 :)

Anyhow, the first proper job for this little gem will be a 'mystery-chest' in American Cherry for my granddaughter. She is 10 in March, so I'd better get dovetailing!

And it is still a pretty saw.. 8)

:D :D :D

That's it, I'm not talking to you any more.... [-(

Good gloat, maybe we could instate a gloat of the month competition, finishing with a gloat of the season where you win the Golden Norris

Lovely saw - welcome to the Wenzloff Club :)

I have a couple I bought about 18 months ago in Walnut - when they were cheaper and the £ at 2 dollars. (gloat?)
Benchways when did you order yours?

I ordered a tenon saw from Mike about 11 months ago but have not pushed it learning of Mikes order/delivery problems and the state of the £.

Hi Rod,

I didn't do so badly. I ordered it some time ago, certainly before the 'credit crunch'.. So it was reasonable in Sterling. Unfortunately it didn't get under the radar at Customs, but it was an extra £25.00 or thereabouts.

However I was prepared for that.
No complaints with it at all.

:) John
