I've not seen it before is it a new idea? or just another bit of junk that will never get used?
 
How do you compensate for the stone getting thinner as it wears (assuming water stone here)? I suspect there are better already on the market eg Veritas Mk II or even the Eclipse and its clones. I think I can hear mutterings in the background about freehand sharpening...I'll get me coat.

I assume you will just set the blade further along the blade slot to keep the same angle.
