Hello Preston, Not firewood,,there has got to be someone who will make something of that little lathe and I recently used my old uncles mitre shooter,, I hope some one here will save them from a fiery grave.
 
i would be very interested in buying the mitre shooter. no idea what its worth, but I was one in a book and it looked a useful thing to have!

Hmmm. May be interested in the "lathe" at the right price. I don't have space for a full size lathe atm, or the money. I do however have a washing machine motor knocking about that could be fitted to this.

It's not like I'm a professional turner and I've not used a lathe in 15 years so it would be an ideal way to see if I can still turn anything worthwhile :)

I think that is the article I saw. I have never heard of it as a donkey, but seem to recall a reference to a donkey something or other adapting a standard shooting board to do 45 box edges.

This is just in my way, you can have it for free but you live too far from me
