hello all

Anybody know if I would be able to prune this tree now, as getting big.

If I do, do I need to put anything on the stubs left from where I cut a branch off?

Thanks in advance

During spring, cut back any damaged or crossing growth. Can also be grown as a shrub and pruned back to base each spring to produce large, decorative foliage.

Traditinally pruning tree surgery was done in the autum winter months but now a days it done all year round. I would reccomend waiting till the autum but before we start having frosts. you can buy and an end seal prodouct but it more for fruiting trees than ornamental.
