Hello i need some advice I have just been offered a inca table saw at a reasonable price. i've searched the net for info on inca table saws and cant find anything he says they are used by pros and semi pro woodworkers is this true as I am after a accurate no hassle table saw if you catch my meaning he doesn't know what model it is as it was his late brother in laws although he did say you can lift it on your own once all the side panels are removed he also said it had a panel attachment
any advice or any pics would be appreciated thanks for your help

Never heard of inca, maybe it has got an incra fence, I can't see the saw being that powerful or solid if it cab be lifted by one person.

Sorry I can't help, maybe somebody else will be able to.

hi, whilst tidying shed came across an old copy of trad wood, oct 96, the back page was an ad for inca tools the agent was axminster power tools so they may have a catalogue archive with a description of the saw youve been offered. hope this helps 8)

Hello just to let you know I ended up getting the inca universal compact saw as i think it s got loads of potential

I have managed to make a sliding table using those heavy ball bearing drawer runners it works a treat.
It doesn't have measuring scale on it
I need to find a tape measure thats about 5mm which will then not obstruct the fence or alternatively if anybody has better suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It came with a wobble blade and can take a stacked dado.
It also came with the book that Mike.c mentioned. In the book it says you can do mortices and put a spindle moulder on.

havent had much of a play but have to say i'm very impressed with the quality and construction there is absolutely no play in the mitre channel.
Anyways if anybody has any ideas of what i can do to get the measuring scale post away. Heres some more pics cheers

Hi Andy, from the pictures it certainly looks like a well engineered machine.

Is this the sort of tape measure you want? I presume when you say 5mm that you mean 5mm wide, well these are 13mm but if you give them a ring they maybe able to get you the size you want or point you in the right direction.
Or if Inca are still about, what about emailing them and asking them if they still have that size.

The inca products were imported into the US by a company called "Garrett Wade". I owned one of the radial are saws and it was very nice. The saw had a crosscut capacity of 26" but was light weight enough for one man to move around. As I recall, the saw was made in Austria. Garrett Wade no longer carries the inca products but lists a company in california for parts.
