Image Host Test

[SketchUp Guru]

The latest version of Picasa--a free download from Google--has a link to a free Web Album space. You get 250MB of space with which you can share photos and they can be uploaded directly through Picasa. I thought I'd test to see if it could be used as an image host for posting images in a forum thread.

So, can anyone see the attached file as an image?

The first one was an x, but pasting the link directly into the browser took me to the image, and then once cached it shows up in the thread too.

The second one doesn't work for me when pasted into the browser.

Right clicking on the square in your first pic then clicking on "View Image"
I got the pic.

But your second pic all I got was "Google error" Not Found.

I couldn't get them on the Mac either. Maybe it'll work better later when it's not a beta thing.

Looking at the HTML and comparing your thread with, for example, Byrons workshop thread, there is a lot more code around the img html. Don't know whether that is causing it. I'm not an HTML expert.

I can't see the image from the post but if I copy the image url from out of the thread html and stick it in my browser it works. Then if i go back to the thread the image becomes viewable (great pic, by the way) as it is already in cache...a bit of a cheat. Clearing cache renders the image non-viewable again.
