I'm looking for an old fanny for my Dad! ..... Let me explain .... What with the VE day celebrations looming I would love to be able to have a tot of Rum with my Dad Bob just as he did all those years ago.

Ever since I was a kid he has told me of the times he had serving on HMS Tracker during the war years, he was an Air Mechanic working on the aircraft on board ship and has many memories - some good and some not so good.

He has fond memories of his tot of Rum out of the Fanny so I would like to get hold of a container as close as possible to the one hanging up from the bulkhead in the pictures enclosed.
These photos were taken on VE day 1945 so I would think they were well on the way for a right old iss up!

It looks like an aluminium pot with a handle to me so if anybody has something like it kicking around in the workshop please let me know.

I have got some great photos of his time on "Tracker" so could put some more up if anybody's interested.

Looks like an aluminium Billy can to me, we used them to cook in over the camp fire while in the scouts.
