I have a Canon EOS 400D with a Canon 75-300 EF zoom lens (1:4-5.6).......ie both the camera and the lens are very middle-of-the-road stuff for digital SLR's.

I'll be on my way in three weeks' time. It's work rather than hols, but we do get a day at the end visiting a game park and the Zambezi on our way back to Jo'burg.

I suspect my pics will be a little different to yours!
