Quite a few months back either through this group, or from some other link, I watched an internet video of a guy making and using a deep cutting tool from a 3/8" metal milling cutter.
I mentioned this to a friend who I see at a monthly gathering - he is a significant amateur engineer and does some wood turning too - as a bit of passing conversation, and somewhat to my embarrassment he came up yesterday with 3 suitable cutters and a length of steel for the shaft. I might add that he has also made me a left hand tap for the tail nose of my lathe so that I can make screw on wood chucks, again as the result of a passing comment. I must stop making passing comments!! :lol:
Anyway I cannot now find the video and I wonder if anyone knows where it is.
