Quick question (I think), could sketchup be used to draw something like this easily :

Also got something similar to draw which has angles throughout it (a mobile trolley with shelves that are gradually angled backwards).

Problem is I am used to using sketchup to draw square things and right angles and not tubular angled things ?

Also does anyone know of a tutorial along these lines, had a look on the internet and haven't found anything yet (but am still looking)

Well this is a Sketchup model..

The answer to your question is yes, certainly SU can be used. How easily? If you use the appropriate plugins - there are a few for example that can run tubes over a grid to produce the framework - then it would not be too difficult.

Visit the Sketchucation forum and register there to see the great stuff people do and to get lots of help and ideas plus the terrific plugins that enable all sorts of clever things to be accomplished.

Also, although it's not usually about curved stuff, don't forget Design.Click.Build where Dave R has some excellent tutorials.

Another great tutorial site is the Sketchup show at Gotoschool.com

Here's a random bit of tubing in a bent shape - I used pipealongpath.rb to do it.
