How do you sharpen

How do you sharpen Captive ring tools, i think it should be done with a slip stone or is there a better/eaiser way am i missing something

I sharpen mine with a few strokes of a diamond stone - works fine for me. I guess a slipstone would do exactly teh same job, but a bit slower.

I hone mine with a diamond stone, just a few strokes across the top edge to give it a nice burr, works perfect every time.
