This Hot Air Engine was mine a few weeks ago.
I knew it was in need of a lot of TLC.
Plus it was badly worn.
After a bit of work I had it turning over, a lot clunky, but turning over.
Then, when it was in "steam" it seized and tore it self apart.
Not one part was left un-damaged.
So it was placed to one side and left.
This week I came back to her. Found out what was wrong, a lot and fixed it.
This image is when she is cooling down after a very good steam.
You can see a split, that was the difficult fix. But we did it.
In paint, the bearings were cleaned and re greased. The frames were brought back straight.
Piston assembly, cleaned, new O ring and the cylinder was honned.
She was a pig, but she lives again.
