hinges / fastners / latches

Hi all,

I am planning on doing some more boxes, practice makes perfect

where do you get the nice hinges / fastners / latches from ?

The ones i used for the last one came from b&q and wilkinsons ! i did find some, but they were very expensive

i.e. like this

just got 3 sets of the above @ 1.99 for 2 + p+p from that auction site. i dont have a reference though, so is that good or bad ?

Don't stint on the fittings! What's a few quid for good quality, solid brass, fittings when you have spent many valuable hours making your box or furniture. Cheap fittings only make your finished product look cheap.

thats exactly what SWMBO said !!

i did explain that the first few boxes i make may not be perfect, so didnt want to waste expensive hinges/latches on them

the ones from the auction site should do me for the first few, then i can get some good ones
