Hi, I am from Northern Ireland. I'm an IT geek but I'm also into lockpicking and I've recently started making my own picks. That's lead me into looking into a scroll saw for making wooden handles for them. I've been using a Japanese pull saw for the smaller straight cuts but it's quite difficult to do longer cuts and keep them straight.

Anyway thanks for letting me join!

Had you thought of a lathe to make the handles - or do you want to keep them flat?
Scroll saw / bandsaw (more general use?) for flat though.
I may look into doing some round handles at some point but for now I'll stick with the flat ones. Really all I need is to be able to split pen blanks and make small cuts to insert the steel into the handles. At the minute I'm shaping them with a belt sander or dremel
