Sorry if I'm breaking UK law or something, but I keep hitting this forum when searching for bits and pieces, figured it would be worth signing up.

Hi everyone,

I'm Danny from Victoria, Australia. Pushing 40. I work in IT so my "workshop" only really gets use when my wife/kids/laptop (work) aren't consuming all of my life energy.
I bought a Bosch GCM 12 GDL yesterday used and looking to build a bunch of shelving/workbenches in my shed, some shelving for my dingy server cabinet, along with some decking around the house.

Hoping to be helpful around here occasionally instead of just asking dumb questions, but we'll see ;)

Yes welcome to ukw , the question is not dumb if you dont know the answer . A great deal of topics get discussed here so ask when you need to , help when you can 🤗🤗

G'day Danny and welcome.

Where in Victoria are you from? We've been to Oz a few times, have a brother in Sydney and part of our last trip was Melbourne and along the usual coast / 12 Apostles sights etc. then back in the other direction and spent 9 days driving the coastal route from Melbourne to Sydney. Met some lovely people and a thoroughly memorable trip. The rest was a stay in Sydney before flying to Perth and driving as far as Monkey Mia. We have a soft spot for Australia.

Just remember to turn all the images up the other way when you are looking at them.
We have AI to automatically rotate things for us these days.

I'm in Gembrook, hilly area on the edge of suburbia that has all of the generic wildlife wandering around that people picture when you say you're Australian daily.

Thanks for the welcome guys! Sorry it took a while to respond, funnily enough cleaning out my "workshop" so didn't get a chance to check replies. I finger quote "workshop" because it's more of a junk pile that's slowly becoming a work shop. First point of call is some shelves to get things off the ground.
