New to the forum, finally parted way with my diy makita table saw and purchased a startrite, so now happy to request a spot on the forum. Basic diy projects but would like to make some windows for the house and some small furniture.

Searching for a bandsaw £1000 - £1500 240v.

My startrite saw is a 135?, can’t seem to find any info, would like to know correct saw blade size, came with circa 195mm x 15mm but want a good blade for ripping.

Hi Martin, Welcome to the forum and what a nice saw to get!! The 135 is part of the serial number. Someone on here will recognise the saw model number. I tend to just look for images, then find an identical looking unit and that should give you more information on it.
Perhaps a 175?

It did come with the extra table extensions to the right, I have removed them so it fits in the workshop easier. So I guess a 145 or 165 either way looks like a 230mm blade with a 5/8” bore…makes for a pricey blade. Motor seems a little underpowered at 900w, so quiet and smooth though…is there a direct motor swap for something a little more powerful? 1.5kw maybe? Or should I pull my head in 900w is fine.
