new home DIY’er but have some experience gained over the years doing kitchens,bathrooms,laminate/wood flooring to help me make some nice pieces for our retirement home and garden, maybe some to sell if they are good enough. New tools for me that i’ve not used before are an old bandsaw (HBS9-4) and a cheap lathe. Need to get some more tools for lathe work and good supplier of decent wood. nice to meet you all

Hi, my wife’s parents lived in Wellingore, near Navenby for 30plus years. we moved up here for retirement to bungalow ( no stairs yippee) and space for my workshop shed

Small world! I know Wellingore well, I used to got to youth club there as a nipper!

I mainly worked at European Gas Turbines/Alstom/Siemens whilst living in Navenby and then Bracebridge Heath before moving down to Oxfordshire about 5 years ago. I do really like Lincoln and would happy have stayed there if it hadn't been for needing to move for work. I've barely had chance to go back but I know a lot of the city center has been developed in recent years.
