Hey All,
Sorry for the lack of updates-work has been a bit hectic and the LOML has set a list of jobs around the house. (that's my excuse anyway
)
As the Incra was such a beauty of a thing I decided it was time for "Router Table MK6". Pictures will be forthcoming. Table was completed and the Incra installed. Set of CMT cutters especially for the jig have turned up, waited for Axminster to send the ACTUAL ones ordered and now am ready to give it a go. (If anything, the delays in setting it up have given me plenty of time to read the manuals!)
My first impressions are good-the build quality of the jig is top notch. As you said Chris, there is no play at all in the jig. And the ability to move the fence by a thousand of an inch is crazy-even my engineering mate was impressed! (although he muttered something about that being too good for the material.......)
So, give me a day or two and I'll post some piccies

I had an Incra Ultra jig, which I used for one or two projects, like this domino set, made from rock maple with walnut dots, and for its box, also walnut and rock maple (sorry about the poor photo). The box is not very obvious because it is sitting on a walnut table, which happens to have a closely matching grain:

But I found it too fiddly, and eventually sold it and replaced it with a shop-made micro-adjustable router fence based on one described by Pat Warner in Fine Woodworking #144. I found the fact that the Incra was based on Imperial measurements a pain in the butt.

Yup the thing is all imperial-I can handle it (well I might need to get the calculator out sometimes.......)

Someone else mentioned they were getting viruses from that picture site. Maybe I should move my pictures elsewhere, if that site is riddled with viruses. Any suggestions about a good place to store them? The Australian Woodworking forum of which I am a member, see

allows members to upload photos direct from their own computers. Couldn't this forum do the same?

I think Chris Knight (Waterhead37) has set up a facility to store pictures for use in this forum. Check out the recent posts.
